Overview Tour

This is a trip to discover the magical history of Egypt and to know a little bit about the life and stories of the ancient Egyptians.


Starting with Cairo and ending with Cairo, sailing from Aswan to Luxor in between, to visit some of the most famous temples made by the pharaohs.


Itinerary

   

Welcome to the land of civilization. Our representative will meet you at the airport upon your arrival to assist you through passport control.

Then we will transport you to the hotel to check-in and enjoy your welcome drink. Enjoy a blasted first night.

   

After breakfast, you’ll be checking out of the hotel. You have a full city tour ahead.

Firstly, you’ll visit The Egyptian Museum , which beholds more than 100,000 pieces of antiquities telling us stories about the ancient Egyptians, including some of the treasures of the famous boy/King Tutankhamun .

Secondly, we will go to another era, Salah El Din Citadel, built at the end of the 12th century during the Islamic dynasty. It used to be the seat of power for many years. In the same place, you’ll find Mohamed Ali Mosque, an Islamic architectural masterpiece that was built by Mohamed Ali Pasha.

You’ll end the city tour at Khan El Khalili, a historic open market where you can take a tour and buy souvenirs.

Lunch will be served during visits.

Then we will take you to the Giza railway station to take the overnight train to Aswan. Enjoy your dinner on the train.

   

Wake up, and enjoy your breakfast. You’ll be arriving soon. You’ll start the visits as soon as you arrive.

The visits will start with the High Dam, a modern construction but of great importance; it was built to protect the country from the floods and drought.

Then you’ll visit Philae Temple. It was moved to Agilkia Island to rescue it from being submerged after building the dam. The temple was dedicated to goddess Isis and found by Taharqa.

We will take you to the Nile Cruise that you will be staying on for a few days to check-in.

In the afternoon, you’ll be enjoying a relaxing Felucca ride on the river Nile.

Back on board to enjoy all your meals. Then we will start sailing to Kom Ombo.

   

As soon as you arrive, you’ll visit Kom Ombo Temple that was built during the Ptolemaic dynasty in a unique double design dedicated to two gods, Sobek, the crocodile, and Haroeris, the falcon.

Back on board to continue sailing to Edfu, where you’ll visit Edfu Temple, which has inscriptions on its walls that provide important information on language myth and religion during the Hellenistic period. This temple is dedicated to the Falcon God Horus.

Return back to the ship where all meals will be served.

Make sure to watch while we sail through Esna lock to Luxor.

   

Upon arrival at Luxor, you’ll start the visits with the west bank.

Valley of the Kings: your gateway to the afterlife, where you’ll find the most famous collection of underground tombs of greatest pharaohs of the New Kingdom. (you are allowed to visit 3 of them excluding the one of Tutankhamun)

Temple Of Queen Hatshepsut : built to honor the Queen, who ruled as a king, she dedicated the temple to Amen as his daughter. This temple was built in 15 years, modeled after the mortuary temple of Mentuhotep II.

The Two Colossi of Memnon: two stone statues of Amenophis III of the 18th dynasty, depicting the King sitting on a throne ornamented with imagery of his mother, his wife, and the god Hapy.

Back on deck to enjoy all your meals and have a goodnight of sleep.

   

Good morning. Have a lovely breakfast, then Check-out from the Cruise. You have a couple of visits to make before you depart from the city.

You’ll visit the Great Temple of Karnak , which is the modern-day name of the temple of Amun at Thebes. It used to be a place of pilgrimage for nearly 2,000 years.

Then visit Luxor Temple that was built by Amenophis III and later added to it by Ramses II . Toward the rear of the temple, you’ll find a granite shrine dedicated to Alexander the Great, “the place of the first occasion”.

After you finish the visit, we will transport you to the Luxor railway station to have an overnight train back to Cairo. You’ll have your dinner on the train.

   

Wake up to enjoy your breakfast on the train. Then you’ll be arriving at the Giza railway station. You’ll have a tour ready for you when you arrive.

Three Majestic Pyramids , you can’t come to Egypt without visiting the pyramids. They are one of the Seven Wonders of the World, built by the three Kings, Cheops, Chephren, and Myckerinus, guarded by the famous noseless Sphinx .

The Ruins of Memphis, the first capital of ancient Egypt, founded by Menes, the founder of the Early Dynastic. It was the home of the founders of the pyramids.

Sakkara Complex: where you’ll find “The Step Pyramid” of King Zoser, the first trial of building a Pyramid built during the third dynasty.

Lunch will be served during visits.

We are done today. We will take you to a hotel to spend the night.

   

Enjoy your breakfast, make sure you collected all your stuff then check-out.

We will drive you to Cairo International Airport so you can fly back home. We hope to see you again.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation should be sent toTripidays Egy Tours by email, also an acknowledge email should be resent from Tripidays to the clients reconfirming receiving the cancellation and the following cancellation fees will be applied on the total package price:


From 45 to 30 days before your arrival, 25% of the total package price will be charged.

From 29 to 15 days before your arrival, 50% of the total package price will be charged.

From 14 to 07 days before your arrival, 75% of the total package price will be charged.

From 06 days and less, 100% of the total package price will be charged.


All cancelation conditions will be changed during Christmas, New Year & Easter periods


All domestic flight canceled within your program will be subject to the airline cancellation policy

Payment Policy

Reservations should be made as early as possible to book the requested holiday. The confirmed tour will be secured upon receiving a deposit of 25% of the full price. The deposit will be increased to be 50% during Christmas, New Year, and Easter holidays and all packages including flight issues. This deposit will be a part of your final payment. Deposits can be made by bank wire transfer or paid using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). The rest of the full payment should be paid within 7 days from receiving your booking confirmation.
