This Temple was designed to celebrate the King’s birthday and coronation day by illuminating the King’s figure by the first rays of the sunrise on these two days, an unbelievable phenomenon. And also, you can find a smaller temple built by the King to his wife, Nefertari.

In the evening, you’ll be able to attend a unique show; the story of the Temple will be told by sound while lights are describing what you hear on the Temple’s walls and statues, The Sound & Light Show.

Then visit another temple in the same area called Dakka Temple, dedicated to Thoth, the god of wisdom in the ancient Egyptian pantheon.

After these visits, go back to the cruise. You’ll be sailing toward Kalabsha.

Where you’ll be able to witness another temple, The Temple Of Kalabsha, built around 30 BC, dedicated to Mandulis, a lower Nubian god.

Then visit Luxor Temple, founded by Amenophis III and the great Ramses II 1400 BCE. This Temple wasn’t dedicated to a god unlike the others; instead, it was dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship.
