Itinerary

   

Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, meet our representative who will assist you through the procedures.

The representative will take you to the hotel to check-in while you enjoy your welcome drink, then rest for today.

   

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel in the morning. You have a full day of visits ahead.

You’ll start with The Egyptian Museum, the largest museum in the region. It houses more than 100,000 original pieces of antiquities that tell us about the lives of the pharaohs and ancient Egyptians.

Then you’ll visit the Three Majestic Pyramids of Kings; Cheops, Chephren, and Myckerinus guarded by the human-headed, lion-bodied Sphinx.

You’ll have lunch at a local restaurant during the visits.

Then you’ll return to the hotel to spend the night.

   

Good morning, don’t forget to eat your breakfast at the hotel before you go.

You’ll head to Wadi Natrun by bus to visit the monasteries there.

Anba Bishoy Monastery, founded in the 4th century, the two bodies of Anba Bishoy and Paul of Tammah are there.

St. Mary Monastery El Syrian, 500 meters away from the previous one, is dedicated to Virgin Mary and carries her name. The exact date of the foundation is unknown, but most sources agree on the 6th century.

El Baramous Monastery is probably the oldest among the four existing monasteries of Scetes. It was founded in 335 AA.

(Monasteries are sometimes closed during fasting periods, according to the Coptic calendar, dates to reconfirm).

You’ll have lunch during the visits.

You’ll take the bus back to Cairo to spend the night at the hotel.

   

After you take your breakfast in the morning, check-out so we can continue our holy visits, the destination for the day in Minia.

Upon arriving, you’ll visit The Church of the Holy Virgin in Gabal el Teir, which means Mountain of birds. It consists of five churches, including the ancient church where the Holy family rested in the cave inside.

We will drive south again to Asyut to visit Gabal (mount) Quaskam, where lays Deir El Muharraq meaning the burned Monastery. It is one of the oldest monasteries in the world. The Holy family stayed in it for six months in the cave that became the altar of the old church of the Holy Virgin at the west of the Monastery.

You’ll have lunch during the visits. After that, you’ll check-in at a hotel to spend the night.

   

Slept well? Now eat your breakfast and check-out.

We will keep going south to Gabal Asyut, which is known as Gabal Dronka, where the return journey of the Holy Family started. They built a convent of the blessed virgin on the Mountain to commemorate the location.

We will continue our bus trip heading south to Sohag.

You’ll visit the White Monastery (El Deir el abyad). It is also known as Monastery of Anba Shenouda or St. Shenoute Monastery. It is called white due you to its clear limestone walls. It is one of the oldest Coptic monuments in Egypt built on the ruins of a Pharaonic city.

Next, you’ll head to the Red Monastery (El Deir al Ahmar). It is named based on the construction material that consists of burnt bricks. It was founded by Bishop Bishay and Bishop Bigual. It is architecturally similar to the White Monastery.

You’ll have lunch during the visits and dinner at the hotel you’ll check-in at Sohag.

   

Eat your breakfast at the hotel before we drive east to the village of Akhmim, where we will have a tour between its monasteries.

You’ll visit the Monastery of Anba Thomas, the Monastery of Archangel Michael, and the Monastery of the martyrs.

You’ll have lunch during the visits.

Back to the hotel for dinner and spend the night at the hotel in Sohag.

   

Eat well, then check-out. You have a big day ahead.

You’ll move on with the bus trip heading to Abydos first to visit the Temple of Seti I, the most impressive religious structure still standing in Egypt. Seti I was the father of Ramses II, who overshadowed him. The temple was dedicated to Osiris.

Then you’ll head to Denderah, where you’ll visit Hathor Temple,- She is god’s Horus wife according to ancient Egyptian mythologies-. The temple is almost similar to Horus temple in Edfu.

You’ll have lunch during the visits. Then we will continue the bus trip to Luxor.

Upon arrival, you’ll check-in to a hotel where you’ll have dinner and spend the night.

   

Check-out from the hotel after breakfast. You’ll take the bus to the west bank where you’ll start the visits.

Valley of the Kings: it’s where tombs of famous King of The New Kingdom were found. Tombs are engraved in the mountain. You are allowed to visit 3 of them from inside, excluding King Tutankhamon’s tomb.

Valley of the Queens: where the wives and sons of the pharaohs were buried, it was known then as Ta-Set-Nefru that means “the place of beauty.”

Hatshepsut Temple, located at the Cliff of El Deir El Bahari, is designed by her architect Senmout at an exceptional place surrounded by the Mountain.

The Colossi of Memnon: the two massive stone statues of Amenophis III, the only remains of his funeral temple that these statues used to guard.

After we finish the visits, we will take you to the Nile cruise that you will be staying in for a few days to check-in and have lunch.

The Afternoon is free so that you can rest or tour the city.

You can attend the sound and light show at Karnak Temple if you want.

Enjoy your dinner on board, and have a lovely night.

   

Good morning. You have two visits to make today.

Start with Karnak Temple, which took 2,000 years to build starting from the New Kingdom and continuing into the Ptolemaic period. The temple was dedicated to god Amen.

Then Luxor Temple, which was used as a place of worship, was founded by Amenophis III and later added to it by Ramesses II.

Back to ship to start cruising in the Nile to Edfu.

All meals will be served on board. Have a goodnight.

   

No time to waste; you’ll start the visits first thing in the morning.

Edfu Temple, dedicated to god Horus the falcon, the son of Isis and Osiris, it was built in the Ptolemaic kingdom.

Back on board to continue sailing to Kom Ombo.

Kom Ombo Temple, a double designed temple because it is dedicated to two gods, Sobek, the crocodile and the god of the sky, Haroeris.

Back to the ship to sail to Aswan, all the meals will be served.

   

Eat your breakfast then get ready for the visits.

You’ll visit the High Dam that was constructed in the late 60s of the 20th century, and it prevents floods and drought.

Then visit Philae Temple that was rescued by UNESCO and moved to Agilkia Island stone by stone. It was dedicated to goddess Isis.

In the afternoon, we will take you on a magical Felucca ride in the Nile around Elephantine Island.

Back on board to eat your meals and spend the night.

   

Enjoy your last breakfast on board before you check-out.

We will transport you to Aswan Airport to catch your flight back to Cairo.

When you arrive, we will take you for a last holy visit, the church of St. Mary, where she appeared on April 2nd, 1968, in Zeitoun district.

Then we will take you to the hotel where you’ll spend the night.

   

Have your breakfast then finish packing to check-out. You’ll be transported to the airport to fly back home.

It was a holy trip indeed and also with a lot of history. See you again.

Payment Policy

Reservations should be made as early as possible to book the requested holiday. The confirmed tour will be secured upon receiving a deposit of 25% of the full price. The deposit will be increased to be 50% during Christmas, New Year, and Easter holidays and all packages including flight issues. This deposit will be a part of your final payment. Deposits can be made by bank wire transfer or paid using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). The rest of the full payment should be paid within 7 days from receiving your booking confirmation.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation should be sent toTripidays Egy Tours by email, also an acknowledge email should be resent from Tripidays to the clients reconfirming receiving the cancellation and the following cancellation fees will be applied on the total package price:


From 45 to 30 days before your arrival, 25% of the total package price will be charged.

From 29 to 15 days before your arrival, 50% of the total package price will be charged.

From 14 to 07 days before your arrival, 75% of the total package price will be charged.

From 06 days and less, 100% of the total package price will be charged.


All cancelation conditions will be changed during Christmas, New Year & Easter periods


All domestic flight canceled within your program will be subject to the airline cancellation policy
